These pale pink roses are an extra soft pink because they are sun-bleached. I love how a flower can evolve as it blooms in the garden, freshly open roses are typically their deepest in color, however if the flowers are given a few days to bloom in the sun, their colors begin to lighten. I don't think of them fading just yet, they just get a bit sun-bleached and extra soft in coloring. These roses are from my back yard, cultivar 'Strawberry Hill' from David Austin Roses and painted in my studio.
